Bantul Yogyakarta, Indonesia – Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), or UMKM as they're known in Indonesia, are the backbone of the nation's economy. In Bengkulu, efforts are underway to empower these businesses, guiding them towards a significant leap: becoming export-ready. A recent capacity-building initiative, generously supported by Bank Indonesia, brought valuable insights to local UMKM owners, with a spotlight on the expertise of Windu Sinaga and Rumiris Simanjuntak, owner of Indorisakti.
The program focused on practical strategies for UMKM to "level up" and confidently enter the global market. Windu Sinaga, a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven track record, shared his firsthand knowledge and actionable steps. He also emphasized that becoming export-ready isn't just about having a good product; it's about meticulous preparation and understanding international market demands.
